Anti-Racism Workshops
You are invited to attend a three part series of Anti-Racism workshops.
These interactive workshops will explore racism and several themes including
colonization, migration, media representations, intersecting
identities, white supremacy and anti-racism within organizations.
People are encouraged to attend the full series of three workshops, though
each workshop is self-contained and can be attended individually.
The workshops will take place on three consecutive Thursday afternoons from
2:30-5:30pm. They are free of charge and will include snacks and
beverages.
Racism and Colonization
Thursday February 16th, 2:30-5:30pm.
Grad Student Lounge, 2nd floor MBC, SFU Burnaby Campus
Facilitated by: Harsha Walia and Sam Stacey
This workshop will look at racism in the context of colonization, Canadian
history, globalization, and neo-liberalism.
Racism and Media
Thursday February 23rd, 2:30-5:30pm.

Facilitated by: Naava Smoolash and Mandeep Dhillon
The second workshop will examine racism and white supremacy in the media.
Organizations and Structural Oppression
Thursday March 2nd. 2:30-5:30pm.
Grad Student Lounge, 2nd floor MBC, SFU Burnaby Campus
Facilitated by: Alex Mah and Amal Rana
The third workshop will focus on intersecting oppressions, structural
racism and the application of anti-racism for organizations.

are limited, please register ASAP to ensure a spot.
