Out on Campus Collective Minutes 1.24.06
Clubs days: Not so good. Second day there was no table. Lots of people
signed up, no one showed up.
Queer Awareness Week: Lots of ideas. Jeff has followed up on his stuff.
New Idea and tentative plan: Donations from Queer Awareness Fundraiser used
to develop queer content at Spartacus Bookstore. The event/party will be in
association with Bent, the new Alternative Queer party in Vancouver. Not at
Lick (too small) maybe Anza Club or somewhere else. Collective twinkled on
following up with this idea.
T-Shirt Committee: Need an artist or graphic artist to make a design.
Volunteers?
Secret Friends: Secret Graveyard? Jeff got some shoeboxes, we will get it
started soon.
Yoga: Will start next Tuesday. Look for an email with more info.
The Space: Full of random boxes, yucky food and dishes. If you see someone
making a mess, tell them to clean it up. Take out the garbage, clean up
after yourself, etc.
CJSF: We’ve agreed to participate in the Rotunda Radio Show. OOC will have
a show every three weeks or so. If you want to be involved, you need to do
a CJSF orientation. There are CJSF volunteer orientations at the station on
the following dates:
Jan 27th at 3:00pm and 6:15pm
Feb 3rd at 6:15pm
Feb 10th at 3:00pm
Feb 18th at 4:40pm
Feb 21st at 4:00pm
Porn on the Computer: There was misogynist and unacceptable porn on the
desktop of the office computer. This will not be tolerated. It is a
violation of the Union standards for Jeff. We have to be very careful about
what you’re looking at in the space and DON’T LEAVE PORN ON THE DESKTOP.
After Hours: Trying to get it together. Maybe we should steal the name
“after hours” and apply it to the pub night that’s trying to get started for
now. More info to come.
Peer Support: 2 final training sessions with FOOD:
Jan 26th, 4:30 to 7:30 (let Jeff know if you’ll be at this one)
Feb 1st, 4:30 to 7:30.
If you can’t make these times, arrange a time to meet with Jeff for
individually.
Queer Faculty Dinner: Feb 8th What’s going on? No one knows.
Things we need for the space from budget: New Computers, Part-Time position
to Full-Time.
Collective twinkled to get a TV/DVD/VCR combo from Costco with headphones.
